Teaching
Lessons from AUD $50 / 30 mins
Learn violin, fiddle, viola, mandolin, or music theory with an experienced professional musician offering more than 25 years of teaching and performance experience. Lessons are available individually or in groups and can be tailored to a wide range of musical styles, including classical, folk, country, jazz and improvisation.
With a background in formal musical training, international performance experience and teaching in schools, studios, and private settings. I take a practical, personalised approach to helping each student develop their skills and confidence. Lessons are shaped around your goals and interest and pace with customised learning materials that may include sheet music, backing tracks and visual guides. Whether you’re picking up the instrument for the first time, refining your technique, preparing for an audition or examination, exploring improvisation, or developing your own musical ideas - lessons are designed around what YOU want to achieve.

Online lessons provide a convenient, reliable way to learn from wherever you are, In-person lessons may also be available, depending on location and scheduling.

Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor of Music, Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
Studies at Berklee College of Music, Boston.
Classical training with a former member of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.
Australian National Bluegrass Champion in Fiddle and Mandolin.
More than 25 years of professional musical experience.
Former teaching roles St Leonards College, Melbourne Grammar School and Churchie Grammar School.
Working With Children Check (AUS) + Background Check (USA).
