Learn violin, fiddle, viola, mandolin, or music theory through a clear and practical approach shaped by over 25 years of experience. I offer individual and group lessons that are adaptable to many styles, including classical, folk, country, bluegrass, jazz, and improvisation.
With long-term experience teaching in schools, studios, and private settings - and drawing on my own extensive training, and career as an international musician - I focus on making lessons enjoyable, achievable, and tailored to each student’s pace. You’ll receive personalised materials that could include (as needed) custom sheet music, backing tracks, and visual guides to support your learning. Whether you’re starting out, building confidence, preparing for school or audition requirements, shaping original music, or working towards professional goals, lessons are centred on what you need.
Online lessons are delivered via high-quality fibre internet for a smooth, reliable learning experience. In-person lessons are available subject to availability and logistics.

Bachelor of Music, Queensland Conservatorium of Music
Berklee College of Music Boston
Classical training under a former Moscow Symphony Orchestra member
Australian National Bluegrass Champion (Fiddle & Mandolin)
25+ years of experience as a professional musician
Former teaching roles at prestigious institutions like St Leonards College and Melbourne Grammar School
Working With Children Check (AUS) + Background Check (USA)
