Australian stoner rock veterans Rollerball to reissue Submarine LP on February 20th via Ripple Music!

Brisbane, Australia based stoner rock veterans Rollerball will reissue their album Submarine on vinyl as part of Ripple Music’s “Beneath The Desert Floor” series, which will see the light on February 20th, 2026. The band recruited long-time friend Jeff Lovejoy to capture the album at BlackBox Studio, Brisbane. Guitarist Dave Talon, Jeff and Luke Earthling shared production duties. The result was a much more stripped-down, raw sound that most fans agree better suited the Gold Coast Quartet. As always, Rollerball recorded a live foundation without a click track and then proceeded to build a sonic soundscape upon it. The menacing nautical theme that runs through the album was a dream-like melding of guitar and bass enhanced by the use of an early 80s Roland Juno-60 synthesiser. Drummer Cam Roach dug deep into his percussive repertoire, creating layered tribal beats that included the use of vocal percussive techniques, while friend and session musician Luke Moller added fiddle to top off the sea-shanty Your Lullaby.
