January 2012

2011 was a great year. A move to Melbourne, a 3 month run with the John Denver Show (starring Rick Price), Performances with Carrie Underwood, Shane Nicholson, Delta Goodrem. Supporting KD Lang on her hugely succesful Australian tour. Ending the year recording strings and mandolin for the new Kate Miller-Heidke album.

Locally I have started a group 'Run Caballito' with incredibly talented Melbourne musicians Nathan Slater (flamenco guitar), Christopher Hale (bass) and Johnny Tedesco (percussion and flamenco dance). Clips from the premiere performance are available here.

One other recording project from last year I am very excited about is the new Gian Slater Trio record. All original works by Gian featuring Christopher Hale and Nathan Slater. I appear on 3 or 4 tracks and it should be released early 2012. .
